SendOwl for PLR Sellers: Pricing and Features (October 2026)

PLR ExpertReviews

If you sell PLR packs, ebooks or templates, you need a way to take payment and deliver files automatically. SendOwl is one of the longer-running tools built for exactly that job. This overview pulls together what SendOwl’s own pricing page and help center say as of October 2026. We have not tested SendOwl ourselves, so treat this as a research summary, not a hands-on review.

What SendOwl is

SendOwl is a hosted checkout and delivery service for digital products. You upload your files, connect a payment gateway, and SendOwl handles the checkout, the secure download page and the delivery email. You can sell through its branded store pages, payment links, an embeddable cart or a pop-up checkout on your own site.

Its product types cover most of what a PLR seller would list: plain digital files, PDFs and ebooks, bundles (which SendOwl calls curated collections), subscriptions, dripped content, license codes, streaming audio and video, and even physical products.

SendOwl plans and pricing (as of October 2026)

SendOwl’s pricing page lists three self-serve plans plus a Business tier. All of them include unlimited products and unlimited storage, according to the page.

  • Launch: $39 per month, or $32.50 per month billed annually. Up to 5,000 orders and $10,000 in sales per year, with 10 GB of bandwidth per month.
  • Grow: $87 per month, or $72.50 per month billed annually. Up to 25,000 orders and $36,000 in sales per year, with 20 GB of bandwidth per month.
  • Scale: $159 per month, or $132.50 per month billed annually. Up to 50,000 orders and $100,000 in sales per year, with 50 GB of bandwidth per month.
  • Business: from $299 per month, for up to $200,000 in annual sales.

Annual billing is promoted as “2 months free.” Each plan has a free trial button, but the pricing page does not state the trial length, so check that when you sign up. The page also says that if you go over your plan’s limits, you’ll be notified and moved up to the next plan.

Transaction fees

SendOwl says it takes no revenue cut or per-sale commission. You still pay your payment gateway’s normal processing fee on each sale. The other variable cost is bandwidth: SendOwl’s fair use policy says usage above your plan’s allowance is billed per GB, at $1 per GB on standard plans, and your exact rate is shown on your Billing page.

Features that matter for PLR and digital downloads

  • PDF stamping: SendOwl can print the buyer’s name and other order details on each page of a PDF, using a default template or a per-product one. The PDF must be hosted on SendOwl, can’t be password-protected beforehand, and must be under 175 MB.
  • Download and time limits: By default, buyers get three download attempts per order. You can set 3, 5 or 10 attempts, add a time limit on the link, and reset attempts for a customer who needs more.
  • License codes: A “Licenses or codes” product type sends a code to the buyer by email, which is useful if you issue numbered licenses with your PLR packs.
  • Upsells: You can offer a product swap (an upgrade) or an extra add-on product, shown before or after payment.
  • Affiliates: A built-in affiliate program lets you set a flat or per-product commission. SendOwl tracks earnings and prepares a monthly payment file.
  • Drip content and subscriptions: Useful if you run a monthly PLR membership or release a course in stages.
  • Marketing extras: The pricing page lists coupons, cart abandonment recovery, pay-what-you-want pricing, gifting and email marketing integrations.

One PLR-specific caution: stamping and locking are designed to stop sharing. If your license lets buyers edit and rebrand the content, a stamped, locked PDF may get in their way. Consider delivering editable source files, such as Word documents, alongside or instead of a stamped copy.

Payment options

PayPal and Stripe are SendOwl’s two main gateways. You can enable one or both, and buyers choose at checkout. With Stripe connected, you can also offer cards, Apple Pay, Klarna, iDEAL, Bancontact and Alipay, though some methods depend on the buyer’s country or currency. SendOwl says the gateway processes payments and pays out to your bank. SendOwl no longer supports crypto payments.

Pros

  • No per-sale commission from SendOwl on top of your monthly plan.
  • Strong file-protection tools: PDF stamping, document locking, download limits and expiring links.
  • Upsells, affiliates, coupons and subscriptions are listed on every plan rather than held back for higher tiers.
  • Works with your existing site through payment links, an embedded cart or a pop-up checkout.

Cons

  • Each plan caps your yearly sales, so growing sellers will be moved to pricier plans.
  • Bandwidth is metered. Large video or audio files can push you into overage charges.
  • Post-payment upsells aren’t available with PayPal or Apple Pay, and Apple Pay isn’t offered on subscriptions.
  • The monthly fee applies even in slow months, which matters if you’re just starting out.
  • Stamped PDFs come with limits (SendOwl-hosted, not pre-protected, under 175 MB).

Who SendOwl suits

SendOwl looks like a good fit for sellers who already have a website or email list and want reliable checkout and delivery with extra protection on their files. It makes the most sense once you have steady sales, because a flat monthly fee works out better at volume than a per-sale cut.

It may be less suitable if you sell only a handful of products a month, if you deliver large media files, or if your PLR packs are meant to be edited freely and don’t need stamping. In those cases, compare it against other digital delivery tools on total monthly cost, including gateway fees and bandwidth.

Prices and limits change, so confirm the current details on SendOwl’s pricing page before you commit.
