SamCart is a hosted checkout and storefront platform that many digital product sellers consider when they outgrow a simple “buy now” button. This overview is based only on SamCart’s own pricing page and help center as of October 2026. We have not tested it ourselves.
Plans and prices as of October 2026
SamCart lists two self-serve plans, each with a 7-day free trial. Paying yearly saves 25%, according to the company.
- Core: $79 per month, or $710 per year. Unlimited products, pages and checkouts, the Courses app, cart abandonment, coupons, custom domains, AI page and product tools, and one team seat. Checkout carries SamCart branding.
- Pro: $199 per month, or $1,790 per year. Everything in Core plus order bumps, 1-click upsells, upgrades, A/B testing, Subscription Saver (failed-payment recovery), a single-tier Affiliate Center, advanced analytics, API access, third-party payment processors and 10 seats.
- Custom tier: priced by sales call. The help center calls it Enterprise, and the pricing page calls it Done For You. It adds a multi-tier affiliate program, unlimited seats and the best processing rates.
Transaction and processing fees
Through SamPay or Stripe, SamCart lists a 2.9% + 30¢ processing rate on Core and Pro. If you use its tax collection, there is a further 0.50% on Core or 0.35% on Pro. Third-party processors are available only on Pro and up, and SamCart says they may carry volume-based fees. PayPal also appears as a payment option. Live support costs $19 a month extra on any paid plan.
Delivering PLR files
When you attach a file to a product, buyers get a secure download link on the order summary page and in their receipt email. You can upload .pdf, .zip, .png, .jpg, .mp3 or .mp4 files up to 1 GB, and download links can expire if you choose. For larger files or formats like EPUB, you link to the file on a host like Dropbox or Google Drive instead.
Each product holds only one download file, so a PLR bundle with ebook, graphics and license would need to go into a single .zip. SamCart also has a Design tab for building ebooks, but its help center says that feature is available only on certain plans and doesn’t say which.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Unlimited products on both plans, which helps if your PLR catalog is large.
- Download delivery is built in and automated, and the Courses app is included in Core.
- Pro bundles the main tools for raising order value: bumps, upsells and affiliates.
Cons
- Order bumps, upsells and the Affiliate Center are all Pro features, which means $199 a month.
- The monthly fee comes on top of per-sale processing fees.
- Only one file per product, and EPUB has to be hosted elsewhere.
Who it suits, and who it doesn’t
SamCart fits established sellers with several PLR packs or courses, a steady stream of buyers, and a plan to use bumps, upsells or affiliates. Those sellers will likely want Pro.
It’s a poor match for a beginner selling one $7 PLR ebook. At the listed rate, a $7 sale nets about $6.50 after processing. That means you’d need roughly 13 sales a month just to cover Core’s $79, before ads or tax fees, and you’d still have no order bumps. Confirm current pricing before signing up.
