ThriveCart for PLR Sellers: Pricing, Fees and Features (October 2026)

PLR ExpertReviews

ThriveCart has long been known as the checkout tool with a one-time lifetime price. That’s no longer the whole story. As of October 2026, ThriveCart mainly sells monthly plans with a free trial, still offers a lifetime option on its Standard account, and is retiring its older course module. Here’s an overview for PLR and digital product sellers, based on ThriveCart’s own pages. We haven’t tested it ourselves.

Pricing (as of October 2026)

ThriveCart’s homepage lists three plans, each with a 30-day free trial and “0% fees on sales”:

  • Standard: $47 per month, according to its checkout page.
  • Pro+: $87 per month, according to its checkout page.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing.
  • Lifetime: a one-time $495 payment for a Standard account.

The homepage also has an annual billing option, but we couldn’t confirm the annual prices, so check the pricing section directly. One thing to read before buying lifetime access: ThriveCart’s terms say “lifetime” means the lifetime of the software platform in its current version, and that some upgrades may require additional purchases.

Fees: “0%” with some exceptions

ThriveCart says it charges no fees on sales. The fees you pay go to your payment processor. Its fee page lists Stripe at 2.9% plus $0.30 for domestic cards, with PayPal and Authorize.Net starting at similar rates.

The same page lists some optional, feature-based charges, though:

  • Sales tax calculation and collection: 0.5% per eligible transaction on Standard, 0.35% on Pro+.
  • Subscription bumps and Advanced Adaptive Pricing: 0.25% on lifetime accounts, 0.10% on Standard subscriptions and 0% on Pro+.
  • Retention offers: 8% on lifetime accounts, 5% on Standard subscriptions and 0% on Pro+ (charged on the first retained payment).
  • ThrivePay Installments: a 15% fee paid by the merchant, plus a 15% hold for 180 days.

For a simple one-off PDF sale, you may never touch these. If you plan to use tax collection or subscription features, factor them in.

Delivering digital downloads

This is the biggest point for PLR sellers: ThriveCart doesn’t host files. Its help center says you need to store downloads elsewhere, such as Google Drive, Amazon S3 or a delivery service, and then deliver them through a success page, a membership integration, automation rules or webhooks.

There’s a setting to make download links expire, which helps limit sharing. Order bumps and upsells use the same delivery method as the main product.

Checkout and sales features

According to ThriveCart’s plan comparison:

  • Standard includes one order bump per product, one-click upsells and downsells, A/B split testing, abandoned cart recovery and sales tax automation.
  • Pro+ adds multiple order bumps, coupon analytics, subscription dunning, custom branding and domains, team permissions, tax-inclusive pricing and the affiliate center with automated payouts and joint venture contracts.

If you want to recruit affiliates to sell your products, note that the affiliate center is a Pro+ feature.

Payment options

ThriveCart connects to Stripe Connect+, PayPal (including Pay Later and Venmo where available), Authorize.Net, Apple Pay and Google Pay. You need at least one processor connected even to give products away. ThriveCart says it doesn’t hold your funds, so you’ll need your own Stripe or PayPal business account.

Courses: Learn is being retired

If you planned to deliver a course with ThriveCart Learn, plan differently. ThriveCart’s help center says accounts created after May 19, 2026 don’t get Learn, and it will be fully retired for existing users at the end of 2026. Every plan now includes a tier of ThriveCart Academy instead. Starter, with Standard, allows up to 2,000 community members and 100 GB of video storage; Growth, with Pro+, allows 10,000 members and 500 GB.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • No platform fee on standard sales.
  • Strong checkout tools: bumps, one-click upsells and split testing on the base plan.
  • Monthly plans now come with a 30-day free trial.
  • A lifetime option still exists for the Standard account.

Cons

  • No file hosting, so you need separate storage for downloads.
  • Affiliate center and multiple bumps require Pro+.
  • Some features carry extra percentage fees, especially on lifetime accounts.
  • The Learn course module is going away, which matters if you relied on older tutorials.

Who it suits

ThriveCart fits sellers who already have a way to host files and want a polished checkout with bumps and upsells. It makes the most sense if you run launches or funnels. If you want a simple all-in-one store that hosts your PDFs and handles delivery for you, a dedicated digital download platform may be easier. Before choosing, check ThriveCart’s current pricing and fee pages, since details change.
