Kajabi is best known as an all-in-one platform for online courses, coaching and memberships. It also lets you sell downloadable files, which puts it on the shortlist for some PLR and digital product sellers. But it’s priced very differently from simple storefronts like Payhip or Gumroad.
This overview is based on Kajabi’s own pricing page and help documentation as of October 2026. We haven’t tested Kajabi ourselves; the aim is to help you judge whether it’s worth a closer look.
Kajabi plans and pricing (as of October 2026)
Kajabi lists three plans on its pricing page. There’s no free plan.
- Basic: $179 per month, or $143 per month billed annually. Up to 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 website and 2 admin users.
- Growth: $249 per month, or $199 per month billed annually. Up to 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 1 website and 11 admin users.
- Pro: $499 per month, or $399 per month billed annually. Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 websites and 26 admin users.
All three plans list unlimited marketing emails, landing pages and funnels. Growth and Pro include AI credits (500 and 1,000 respectively), while Basic includes none. Kajabi also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan and a free trial, though the pricing page doesn’t state the trial length.
Payment fees
Kajabi doesn’t list a platform transaction fee when you use Kajabi Payments, but card processing still applies. For US cards, the pricing page lists 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. If you use a third-party payment processor instead, Kajabi lists an extra fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. Rates for Kajabi Payments vary by country.
How digital downloads work on Kajabi
Kajabi sells files through a “Downloads” product type. According to its help center:
- You add files to a Download product and can add more at any time.
- You set a price by creating an “Offer,” then share the link to that offer.
- Buyers access their files in their Member Library rather than through a simple emailed link.
- All Download products together count as just one product toward your plan’s product limit.
That last point matters for PLR sellers on the Basic plan. A product limit of 5 sounds tight, but since all your downloads share one slot, you could sell a large catalog of files and still have room for a course or membership.
Kajabi’s marketing page for downloads also mentions bundles, discount codes, upsells and automated follow-up emails after purchase.
Pros for PLR and digital product sellers
- Email marketing, landing pages, funnels and checkout in one place, so you may not need a separate email service.
- Downloads, courses, communities and coaching can live under one roof if you plan to expand beyond files.
- No platform transaction fee listed when using Kajabi Payments.
- Download products share a single product slot, which helps on the lower plans.
Cons and things to check
- The monthly cost is high for sellers just starting out or selling low-priced PLR packs. At $143–$179 a month on Basic, you need steady sales to cover it.
- Buyers access files through a member login, which some customers may find less convenient than an instant download link.
- The pricing page didn’t clearly show which plans include features such as the affiliate program, custom domain and branding removal. Confirm these with Kajabi before choosing a plan.
- Contact limits apply. Extra contacts are sold in blocks of 25,000 for $125 per month.
- If you’re outside the US, check Kajabi Payments rates and tax handling for your country.
Who Kajabi suits
Kajabi makes the most sense for sellers who already earn consistently and want courses, memberships, email and downloads in one platform. If you mainly sell PLR files or templates at low prices, a lower-cost storefront may be easier to justify while you grow. You can always move to an all-in-one platform later, once you know which products sell and how much you’d use the extra tools.
Whatever you choose, compare the total monthly cost against your realistic sales volume, and check the platform’s current pricing page before you commit, since plans and fees change.
